I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degree from East Carolina University in Family and Consumers Education.  I am passionate about teaching and new teachers.  I have been a beginning teacher coach, mentor, a University Supervisor for FCS student teachers and currently teaching a Methods class for FCS Teachers for ECU...GO PIRATES!!!

I have taught Foods I, Foods II, Parenting and Child Development, and Early Childhood Education for 2 years in Wilson County Schools, 9 years in Edenton-Chowan Schools and this is my 3rd year with Tyrrell County Schools as the CTE, Career Development Coordinator.  I often teach and exploratory course to Columbia Middle School students or Career Management at the high school.

I look forward to working with all students at Columbia High School to ensure they know what they want to do after high school and take them on job shadows, internships, field trips, apprenticeships, college visits and much more...GO WILDCATS!!!
