Community Meal Delivery Survey

Tyrrell County Schools has the opportunity to provide two additional days of meal delivery, especially for students who will remain 100% remote for the rest of the school year. Due to bus regulations, these two additional days of meal delivery cannot be delivered door-to-door, but instead will have to driven to a community location, parked, and be picked up by a parent/guardian/family member for any child 18 and under. The purpose of this survey is to gather your feedback on if this is wanted and in what locations would you be willing to pick up meals.

Bipartisan Legislation for School Reopening

Today State Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt, Gov. Roy Cooper, Senate leader Phil Berger, House Speaker Tim Moore, Senate Democratic Leader Dan Blue and House Democratic Leader Robert Reives made a joint announcement on legislation to reopen schools across the state. This bipartisan bill will require elementary schools to use Plan A for daily in-person classes while middle and high schools can choose between Plan A or Plan B. Local districts can also still close schools in the event of COVID-19 outbreaks.
