CHS Football for the 2020-21 School Year Suspended Tyrrell County BOE approved Supt. Holley's recommendation on Thursday Feb.18, to suspend CHS Football for the 2020-21 school year. The decision was based on several factors, which included districts on the Wildcats schedule cancelling their respective schools' football season. This created voids in the Wildcat schedule, presenting logistic and potential safety issues for the CHS student athletes. CHS is very proud of the coaches and players that had begun to practice for the upcoming season. We look excitedly to the 2021-2022 school year to continue our transformation to the game of 8 man football.
Tuesday, February 16, 2021: COVID-19 Notification Two Tyrrell County Schools employees have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Remote Learning Day - Friday, January 29, 2021 Due to a concern for early morning unsafe road conditions, Tyrrell County Schools will operate on a Remote Learning Day for all students on Friday, January 29, 2021. In addition, all district buildings will be closed and meal deliveries will not operate tomorrow.This will count as a regular school day, so students should check their emails and class learning sites for assigned activities.
