Transportation Memo

Tyrrell County Schools Transportation Memo for Parents of Students Who Ride TCS Buses:

Due to the restrictions placed upon us because of COVID-19, we will not be able to accept any bus notes requesting transportation changes. We will only be able to pick up and drop off your student at the designated stop indicated on bus routes that are in place when students return for face-to-face, on-campus instruction.

Please carefully consider this when you are deciding whether your student will return for face-to-face instruction in January or remain 100% remote. If you would like your student to attend 100% remote, please visit the Tyrrell County Schools website and complete the form titled "TCS Continued Remote Learning (Plan C) Enrollment Form”.

This form can be found by clicking on the "Tyrrell County Schools Reopening Info" box that appears as soon as you land on the district home page or directly at https://bit.ly/tcs100remote.

COVID-19 Notification

Dear Friends & Families of Tyrrell County Schools,

I am writing this letter in order to communicate that an employee at Central Office has tested positive for COVID-19. All individuals who have been deemed a "close contact" received a personalized
correspondence from our school district. As you are reading this notification, we have implemented TCS safety protocols in partnership with the Martin-Tyrrell-Washington District Health Department.

CHS Volleyball Cancellation

Dear Students/Parents/Guardians,

It saddens me to share that CHS will not participate in Volleyball this season. This was not an easy choice to make; however given the circumstances it is the right choice. First and foremost is always the safety of our students and staff. In
addition, we have been notified by conference officials that the majority of the teams will not be competing in volleyball this season. Unfortunately, this has presented issues with creating a schedule.

As of now we are preparing and planning for CHS athletics to resume competition in January with basketball.
