Mrs. Brianna Willams Joins TCS as the new Principal of Columbia High School We are happy to announce Mrs. Brianna Willams as the new Principal of Columbia High School. Mrs. Williams is a native of Hyde County and is currently serving as an administrator and instructional leader in Beaufort County Schools. She comes with school administration and teaching experience at the middle and high school levels. She previously worked for Wake County and Pitt County Schools. She is a graduate of University of Mount Olive (formerly Mount Olive College) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry, where she played college basketball. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Secondary Science Education and graduated with a Master of School Administration degree from East Carolina University and also holds a Curriculum Instructional Specialist License. She is excited about providing instructional leadership for our teachers and students and forming partnerships with families and the community. Mrs. Williams will start on January 30th. We Want to thank Mrs. Sheila Cumiskey for ensuring that CHS had stability during this time of transition. Mrs. Cumiskey is a valued member of our leadership team and she will continue to support Mrs. Williams as a member of the District Leadership Team.
